Today April 11 is the Sunday of Divine Mercy:
2.00PM - Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Rosary. The Sacrament of Confession will be administered during that time.
3.00PM - we sing the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, followed by Benediction; the Holy Mass will be celebrated afterwards.
Special booklets with Chaplet and other prayers are available at the tables where the Parish Bulletins are. Please invite your relatives and friends to celebrate this Feast of Divine Mercy together.
The messages of Mercy that St. Faustina received are today being spread throughout the world. She was given the title "Venerable" by the church on May 7, 1992, her beatification took place in Rome on April 18, 1993, the Sunday after Easter, the Feast of Divine Mercy. On April 30, 2000 (Divine Mercy Sunday) St. Faustina was canonized.
A Decree establishing Divine Mercy Sunday for the whole Church was issued by the Sacred Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments on May 5th 2000.
After the Mass, we will share a potluck dinner in the hall, then watch a film: Divine Mercy - No Escape - The life of St. Sister Maria Faustina. It is our hope that many more people will find their way to God’s Mercy.
If you need more information, please contact Fr. Stanislaw Zak at: 510-482-0596, ext. 202. Please invite your relatives and friends to celebrate this Feast of Divine Mercy.

Text Box: Sunday Scripture
Today is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad. Today we celebrate, in body and spirit, Christ's triumph over sin and death. Today we enjoy rich foods and drink, reminding us of God's goodness and the eternal banquet of heaven. We joyfully renew our baptismal vows, rejecting sin, promising to live as God's children forever, and never forgetting the fullness of God's love and His plan of salvation.
In today's first reading, Peter proclaims that Jesus is the one anointed by God as judge of all, and that, through Jesus, all people can receive forgiveness of sins. The second reading exhorts those who believe in Jesus to keep their minds on heaven. The Gospel tells of the discovery that Jesus is not in his tomb, and the confusion that results.
